Biography

The Golden Tree is a musical project formed by Scottish songwriters Grahame Skinner (best known as the frontman of Hipsway and The Cowboy Mouth) and Robert Hodgens (better known as Bobby Bluebell from The Bluebells). Together, they reinterpreted and reinvented Scottish pop classics, resulting in the cover series Scottish Songs Observed, Vol. 1 (2023) and Scottish Songs Observed, Vol. 2 (2024), featuring stripped-down versions of iconic tracks by Scottish artists from Donovan to The Jesus & Mary Chain. The first volume reached No. 8 in the UK independent charts.
