Harrison Patrick Smith aka Turtlenecked and The Dare is an electronic music producer born in Los Angeles on March 19, 1996. Known for his production of Charli XCX's track "Guess" in 2022, he has been practicing under the name Turtlenecked since 2015 and moved to New York, where he continued from 2020 under the name The Dare. His musical style, which oscillates between electroclash, rave music and dance-punk, gradually reveals itself with tracks like the viral hit "Girls" (2022) or "Good Time", followed by the EP The Sex EP in 2023. In 2024, following the release of two new tracks, "Perfume" and "You're Invited", The Dare expanded to album length with What's Wrong with New York? for which he was largely responsible, from writing to production.
