The Bakerton Group, an American rock band formed in 1999, is a side project of the blues rock band Clutch. The group consists of Tim Sult, Dan Maines, Jean-Paul Gaster, and Neil Fallon, all members of Clutch. The Bakerton Group incorporates elements of blues rock, psychedelic rock, and jazz. Their first release was the three-track EP Space Guitars, made available as a free download on the official Clutch website in 2001. In October 2007, they released their eponymous debut album, produced by J. Robbins of Jawbox, which featured Mick Schauer on Hammond organ. The band's second full-length release, El Rojo, was issued on February 17, 2009, under the Weathermaker Music label. After Schauer left in 2007, Per Wiberg of Opeth took over on keyboards, organ, and synthesizers. The Bakerton Group has toured extensively throughout Canada and the United States.
