Biography
The 5 Browns, a classical piano ensemble consisting of siblings Desirae, Deondra, Gregory, Melody, and Ryan Brown, were born in Houston, Texas. The family moved to Utah in 1991 where the children began homeschooling while continuing private piano study with Irene Peery-Fox. From 2001 to 2006, they attended New York's Juilliard School under Yoheved Kaplinsky. In 2005, The 5 Browns released their debut album, The 5 Browns, on RCA Red Seal, followed by No Boundaries in 2006 and Brows in Blue in 2007. They achieved critical acclaim and chart success with three Number 1 albums on Billboard Magazine's Classical Album Chart. Ryan Brown stopped performing in 2023 and was succeeded by pianist Stephen Beus.
