Terrakota is a worldbeat band from Portugal, formed in Lisbon in 2000. The group's music blends African rhythms with contemporary styles such as reggae. Their journey began with a mix of African sounds and influences from the Caribbean, India, and the West. Terrakota's lineup consists of seven members: Romì, Junior, Alex, Francesco, David, Humberto, and Nataniel. The group first appeared on the compilation Optimus 2001 with the single "Bolomakoté." Their debut album, Terrakota, was released in 2001. This was followed by Húmus Sapiens in 2003, Oba-Train in 2006, and World Massala in 2010. Terrakota's music features a diverse range of instruments and rhythms from around the world, including congas, djembé, didjeridoo, bass, guitar, and drums.
