Biography
The English duo Swayzak are not easy to classify, as they vacillate between minimalist techno and deep house adorned with dub. The duo attracted attention with several highly accomplished albums released at the turn of the twentieth century. Snowboarding in Argentina (1998), Himawari (2000) and Dirty Dancing (2002) surprise as much as they delight. Swayzak's initially luminous inspiration dried up, however, and subsequent albums lost their sparkle. Some Other Country in 2007 was Swayzak's last album as a duo. Now on his own, David Brown released S_W_Z_K in June 2012.
