Biography

Maya Simone Shipman, known professionally as Suzi Analogue, was born on August 16, 1987, in the United States. She is a musician, recording artist, and songwriter specializing in hip hop, experimental electronic music, and neo soul. In 2012, she collaborated with TOKiMONSTA under the project name Analogue Monsta to release the EP Boom via Scion Audio/Visual. She later launched her own label, Never Normal Records, and released Chills + Thrills, which was named "Best Cassette of 2014" by FACT Magazine. Suzi Analogue has appeared on BET and MTV to discuss women in the male-dominated music industry. Her notable albums include World. Excerpts 1–9 (2009), NNXTAPE (2010), Love Affairz V.1 (2014, with Swarvy), ZONEZ V.1: The Audio Visual Moodboard (2016), and ZONEZ V.2: The Audio Visual Moodboard (2016). In 2022, she released the vinyl compilation Infinite Zonez, highlighting works from the ZONEZ series. Suzi Analogue continues to create audio/visual projects and perform live worldwide, including a Boiler Room set for DJ Earl’s Open Your Eyes album in 2016.
