Biography
SURL is a blues-based rock band formed in 2018, consisting of Do-yeon Kim (guitar), Myeong-seok Oh (drums), Han-bin Lee (bass), and Ho-seung Seol (vocals). The band's name, an English translation of the Korean word "Seol," signifies "a band that tells stories." All members, born in 1998, were high school friends who later reconnected after turning 20, with Lee Han-bin suggesting they form a band. They debuted with the track "Let's Be Here" on the 2018 compilation album bright #7 and have since released a variety of music, including their first regular album of us (2022) and EPs like Aren't You? (2018), I Know (2019), and XYRUP(2024). The band has also contributed to multiple OSTs, including Web Drama LIKE OST Part.1 (2019) and Watcha Original <Inside Lyrics> 'Airbag' (2022), and singles such as "Ferris Wheel"(2020), "Don't Say No" (2020), and "HYPNOSIS" (2024).
