Biography
Sumo Cyco is a Canadian metal / alternative rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, formed in 2011. The group consists of lead vocalist Skye Sweetnam, guitarist Matt Drake, bassist Oscar Anesetti, and drummer Joey Muha. Sumo Cyco launched their career opening for Hollywood Undead in April 2011. Their early releases included singles such as "Limp" (2011) and "Danger" (2011), followed by the EP Live Sessions 1 (2013). The band gained recognition winning Best Female-Fronted Band at the Toronto Independent Music Awards in 2012. Sumo Cyco released their debut album, Lost in Cyco City, in June 2014 and their second studio album, Opus Mar, in 2017. The band has toured extensively, opening for acts such as Offspring and Butcher Babies, and performing at major festivals like Download Festival. Their third album, Initiation, was released in May 2021. On October 24, 2025 followed Neon Void.
