Biography

Sascha "Buzzfunk" Dikiciyan, known professionally as Sonic Mayhem and Toksin, was born in 1970 in Stuttgart, Germany. He began his musical journey by learning to play the piano at a young age before switching to drums at twelve. In 1993, Dikiciyan moved from Berlin to Los Angeles to study music at the Musicians Institute and later film composition and orchestration at the Herb Alpert School of Music at UCLA. His breakthrough came in 1996 with his first musical production, Methods of Destruction, which led to his involvement as a composer for video games, starting with Quake II in 1997. Dikiciyan's work often blends orchestral and electronic music elements. He has composed soundtracks for numerous notable titles, including Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (2006) and Prototype (2009).
