Snowpony was a British indie rock group formed in 1996 in London, England. Their founders included Katharine Gifford and Debbie Googe. Their recordings include the single âChocolate in the Sunâ (1997) and the debut album The Slow Motion World of Snowpony (1998), which reached number 7 on the US CMJ charts. Following legal disputes with their label, the group released the album Sea Shanties for Spaceships (2001) under the moniker Dead Pan Alley. Their final release, the EP A Fistful of Seahorses (2003), appeared as an internet download. Snowpony disbanded in 2004.
