SIMILE LAND is a South Korean alternative rock band formed on November 23, 2023, consisting of SIMILE (vocals/guitar), Laffa (keyboard/shoulder keyboard), Son Se-won (guitar), Jang Su-won (bass), and Kim Kyoung-hoon (drums). Originally launched as a one-man project by vocalist SIMILE, who debuted in August 2023 with the digital single “Find My Kid” and released four solo singles that year, the project gradually evolved into a full band after collaborating with Laffa for acoustic duo performances and later expanding with additional members met through a planned concert project. Initially performing under the name SIMILE Band, they officially rebranded as SIMILE LAND with the release of their debut EP Cheol-Su on August 19, 2024. Known for blending diverse genres into a fresh alternative rock sound, the five members each contribute distinct musical colors that create a unique and dynamic identity. Following their debut, the band gained rapid recognition by winning the 2024 Muniv Concert, placing second at the 2024 Busan International Rock Festival “Rookies on the Busan Rock,” and winning first place at the 2024 Gyeonggi Indie Music Festival Indiestance. Their growing popularity was further demonstrated in November 2024 when their first solo concert sold out in just three seconds.
