SIM2 (born Park Byung Gyu on March 11, 1996, in Chungju, South Korea) is a South Korean producer and composer who officially debuted in 2019 with the mini album M-d. Known for a clean yet hardworking approachâreflected in his stage name, derived from âsimpleâ and the symbolism of striving as ânumber twoââSIM2 has developed a prolific output, often creating beats within hours and producing dozens of tracks each month. He is a member of the ROM (Rest On Memory) crew and a former half of the producer duo Wavycake, a collaboration formed during his military service before the two pursued separate artistic paths. Active since his teenage years, SIM2 has steadily expanded his sonic range across contemporary and alternative R&B, soul, and hip-hop, collaborating with artists such as Junny, Austn, Claire Hau, Owler, L.NDN, and Kang Dana. His discography includes the EPs 2020 (2020) and Variety (2022), as well as a series of singles such as "Merry Go Round" (2025), "Charging" (feat. E.ul, 2025), "Work In The Morning" (feat. Sonny Zero, 2025), "Matcha or Coffee" (feat. Sonny Zero, 2025), and "Run It Back" (feat. Soo Yeony, 2025).
