Biography
SHUSHU9, born Park Hyesu on September 3, 1988, is a South Korean indie singer-songwriter and composer known for her emotional vocals and contributions to game soundtrack music. A graduate of the Department of Applied Music at Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts, she debuted in 2013 with the mini album Walking Side by Side with the band Evening. Early in her career, SHUSHU9 was active in the indie band scene before becoming widely recognized through her work with Nexon, where she performed soundtrack songs for popular games including MapleStory and Elsword. After leaving Nexon in 2019 for personal reasons, she returned to the indie music scene in 2022 under the stage name SHUSHU9 with the single âLIFE SWIMMER,â followed by âFADE AWAY.â Continuing her solo career, she later released songs including âWHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRLâ(2025) and âPALETTE,â(2026) further developing her atmospheric indie pop sound.
