Biography

Sion Tsuji (辻詩音) was born on 10 January 1990 in Tokyo, Japan, and began playing guitar in childhood, eventually turning her passion into a professional career as a singer. She first entered the public eye with the single "Candy Kicks" released on 12 November 2008, followed by "Sky chord" on 25 February 2009, the latter serving as the 18th ending theme for the anime adaptation of Bleach. Her early work earned her the Recochoku Revelation Award in 2008, and she signed with Sony BMG Japan’s Defstar Records. In 2010, Sion Tsuji released her debut album Catch! on 19 May, with a regular edition and a limited CD+DVD edition; the album consolidated her presence in the J‑pop scene. Subsequent singles such as "M/elody" (5 August 2009) and "Hoshii Mono" (28 October 2009) charted modestly on the Oricon singles chart.
