Biography
Epir Thaci, known professionally as ShimmyMC, was born in 1993 in Germany to Kosovo-Albanian parents and is a German rapper. He began his music career by releasing "Kanakisch Knackig Gut!" and "Halt dein Maul!" in 2009 and 2010 respectively. ShimmyMC gained significant attention with the release of "Akustische Schokolade" in 2012 and its sequel, "Akustische Schokolade 2," in 2013. Following these releases, he took a break to study Wirtschaftsinformatik at OTH Regensburg. In 2017, ShimmyMC returned with the album Napoleon, which debuted at number 83 in the German charts and number 55 in the Austrian charts. In 2018, he released the album Shimmy Volume 1, featuring instrumental and live versions of his older songs alongside new material.
