Shabby Tiger were a British glam rock ensemble from Blackburn formed in the early 1970s. The ensemble consisted of Henderson Gibson, Toni Baker, Graham Fielden, Dave Almond, and Mike Ryan. They achieved professional recognition for the track âSlow Downâ (1975), which reached number 7 on the Dutch charts and number 3 on the Belgian charts. Their recording career includes the debut studio recording Shabby Tiger (1976). Their discography includes the tracks âLittle Miss Heartbeatâ (1975), âThe Devil Rides Tonightâ (1975), and âLovely Ladyâ (1977), the latter reaching number 5 on the South African charts. Gibson previously performed as a backing vocalist for artists including Billy Ocean and The Nolans. The ensemble became inactive in the early 1980s. Gibson died on 26 March 2013.
