S-Crew was formed in Paris in 2001 by rappers Nekfeu, DJ Elite, Framal, Mekra and 2Zer Washington, the latter three also being part of the L'Entourage collective, which is also the birthplace of 1995, a group featuring Nekfeu. After various underground recordings, S-Crew released the highly successful single "La Danse de l'homme saoul" in June 2013. S-Crew released their debut album Seine Zoo in October 2013, which reached number 13 in the French charts. The collective success reflects on Nekfeu, the member with the most media exposure, when he releases his solo album. The four singers reunited three years later for an album whose title evokes their cohesion, Destins Liés . The album quickly topped the French charts, and even managed to climb to third place in the Belgian charts and fifth place in the Swiss charts. In 2022, S-Crew returned with the album SZR 2001, featuring contributions from Alpha Wann and PLK. This topped the French charts.
