Robin Rimbaud, known professionally as Scanner, was born in Southfields, London, England on May 6, 1964 and is recognized for his work as a composer and producer of electronic music. His career began with the release of Scanner 1 in April 1993. Over the years, he released numerous albums including Spore (May 1995), Delivery (April 1997), and Sound for Spaces (April 1998). Notable releases include Stopstarting (October 1998) and Diary (July 2000). Scanner continued to produce influential electronic music with albums such as Nemesis (January 2002), Double Fold (April 2003), and Warhol's Surfaces (also April 2003). His later works, including "Rockets" from the album Unto the Edges of Edges (May 12, 2009), showcased his evolving artistic vision. Scanner's further releases include, An Ascent (2020), La Fenêtre Magique (2022), the diptych Alchemeia and The Phenol Tapes (2024), Columns (2024), and Forces, Reactions, Deflections (2025).
