Biography

Sara Jackson-Holman is an American singer-songwriter and classically trained pianist. Inspired by her mother, she began writing her own songs while developing her classical piano skills. Her breakthrough came when she left a fan post for the indie-pop band Blind Pilot, which caught the attention of their label’s president and led to her signing without a formal demo. In 2009, she released her debut album When You Dream. She has since released several albums, including Cardiology (2012), inspired by the death of her grandfather, and the EP River Queen (2014). Jackson-Holman’s music blends pop and alternative styles with classical influences, often featuring piano and layered strings, and has been featured in television series such as Grey’s Anatomy and Orange Is the New Black. She also performed primarily in the western United States.
