Biography
Iván Santos Ortiz, known professionally as Santaflow, is a Spanish rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer born on July 19, 1979, in Algete, Madrid. He began his musical journey in 1998, forming the duo Desterrados with El Chulo del Megane, releasing their self-titled album in 2001. After the duo's dissolution, Santaflow pursued a solo career, signing with Universal Music in 2003. His debut solo album, Yo, Santaflow, faced delays and was ultimately released in 2007. In 2008, he founded his own label, Magnos Enterprise, under which he released Ave Fénix in 2009, showcasing his fusion of rap with rock and pop elements. Collaborations have been pivotal in his career, notably with artists like Porta on "Voces en mi interior" and Norykko on multiple tracks. His discography includes Más Fuego (2011), Atlántico (2013), and the Red trilogy between 2014 and 2018. In 2020, he released El Beef: Baladas en Mi Menor, a project reflecting his confrontational lyrical style. Continuing to evolve, Santaflow's subsequent works include Contracultu-Rap (2023) and Pecados Capitales (2025), solidifying his presence in the Spanish rap scene.
