Sannhet, an American experimental metal band from Brooklyn, New York, was formed in 2010 by John Refano, Christopher Todd, and AJ Annunziata. The current lineup consists of John Refano and AJ Annunziata, with Christopher Todd listed as a past member. The group released their debut album Known Flood on February 19, 2013, through Sacrament Records, which received positive reviews for its blend of post-rock, black metal, and sludge metal elements. The album features the track "Slow Ruin," which had a music video released on October 14, 2013. On November 12, 2013, they released the EP Lions Eye. Their second album, Revisionist, was released on March 3, 2015, through The Flenser Records and was praised for its diverse sound and experimental nature, earning a spot as one of Pitchfork's best metal albums of 2015. On June 30, 2016, the band released Young Death, a compilation of rare early material and unreleased tracks spanning 2008 to 2013. Later that year, they contributed the single "Short Life" to Adult Swim's Singles series. The band followed this with their third studio album, So Numb, released in 2017, further expanding their experimental sound.
