Gennaro Amatore, known professionally as Samuraiâ¯Jay, was born on 1â¯Octoberâ¯1998 in Marano di Napoli, Campania, and pursued a career as a rapper and songwriter. He first entered the music scene in 2019 with the singles "Male" and "Sorryâ¯Mama", followed by "Gang" later that year, establishing his presence in the Italian rap circuit. The following year, he released "Vamosâ¯Paâ¯Laâ¯Banca" and his debut album Lacrime on 23â¯Octoberâ¯2020, a project that showcased his lyrical focus on personal and social themes. In 2022, he launched the collaborative EP RESPIRA with Dani, expanding his audience and solidifying his reputation as a prolific artist. He partnered with Vito Salamanca on the album AMATORE, dropped on 21â¯Mayâ¯2026, marking a significant evolution in his musical style and production. Between albums, Samuraiâ¯Jay released the singles "OSSESSIONE" (25â¯Februaryâ¯2026), "OBSESIÃN" (with Naiara, 19â¯Marchâ¯2026), and "Halo" (13â¯Juneâ¯2025), each contributing to his growing discography.
