Born Samuel Adams Wisner on August 14, 1987 in Massachusetts, rapper Sammy Adams started recording tracks at home while attending Trinity College. He had a viral smash when he refashioned the Asher Roth track âI Love Collegeâ into âI Hate College (Remix)â. A handful of further YouTube releases led to the 2010 EP Bostonâs Boy, which captured his good-time, dance-oriented vibe on singles like âTab Openâ, âJust Sayinââ, and âDriving Me Crazyâ, and reached number 73 on the album chart. Not long after a slot on the Lollapalooza tourâs 2011 stop in Chicago, Adams signed with RCA, and released a series of singles for the major label over the next four years. 2012âs âOnly Youâ had some success on the charts, but it was eclipsed by âFinally Found Youâ, a number 24 hit for Enrique Iglesias that featured Adams. He released the EP Homecoming in 2013, as well as the single âL.A. Storyâ, a collaboration with Mike Posner. He parted ways with RCA and released his debut album, The Long Way, in 2016 on 1st Round Records. He left 1st Round and, over the next few years, released singles in collaboration with a variety of artists including TELYKast and Jayceeoh.
