Salome Scheidegger, born in 1987 in Kyoto, Japan, is a Swiss pianist, composer, music producer, and performance artist. She started with traditional Japanese dance before focusing on classical piano at age four. By eleven, she won third prize at the Concorso Internazionale di Musica Città di Stresa. In 2004, Scheidegger debuted with the Symphonisches Orchester Zürich performing Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's 1st Piano Concerto. Her early releases include Dark Little Rooms (2013) and Salomeâs Envisage (2013). In 2015, she released Play: A Video Game and Anime Album, featuring arrangements for solo piano. Scheidegger's work with anime and video games led to the creation of Salichan: The Ghibli Album in 2016. She has performed internationally with orchestras such as the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra and the State Hermitage Orchestra, and her performances have been featured at festivals like the Davoser Festival Young Artists in Concert.
