Salmonella Dub is a New Zealand band from Christchurch. Formed in 1992 by Andrew Penman, Dave Deakins and Mark Tyler, the ensemble is known for a style blending dub, drum n bass, reggae and roots music. They released their debut album Salmonella Dub in 1994. The band's 1999 album Killervision won eight bNet awards and reached number 7 on the New Zealand charts. Their subsequent recording Inside the Dub Plates (2001) reached Number 1 and received three New Zealand Music Awards. In 2004, the ensemble released the album One Drop East, which also reached Number 1. The band collaborated with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in 2008 for the Feel the Seasons Change tour and live album. In 2013, the group issued the single âSame Home Townâ to mark their 20th anniversary.
