Biography
The Kosovan-Albanian singer and dancer Butrint Imeri was born on July 3, 1996 in Lörrach, Germany. in 2015, he released his debut single "Kim e Lyp", in which the musical influences of classic US R&B were still clearly audible. Over time, he allowed more and more pop elements and traditional sounds from the Balkans to develop his very own sound. He had his first number 1 hit in Albania in 2017 with the single "Xhanem". "Kush?", "Bakllava" (both 2018), "M'ke rrejt" (2019) and "Phantom" (2020) also made it to the top of the charts in the following years. He had his first chart entry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2019 thanks to "Dream Girl", a collaboration with German rapper Nimo. Together with singer Kida and rapper Ledri Vula, he reached number 1 in Albania for the sixth time in 2021. The summer hit "Dale" also made it into the top 20 in Switzerland.
