The Rose Consort of Viols, an English ensemble of viol players, was formed in 1990. The group specializes in early consort music and has performed extensively around the world, including appearances on BBC. Their debut album Elizabethan Christmas Anthems, released in collaboration with Red Byrd in 1990, marked their entry into the recording scene. Throughout the 1990s, they released several notable albums, including All In A Garden Green with Jenkins (1993) and Consort And Keyboard Music - Songs And Anthems with Red Byrd (1994). The group continued to release significant works like Fantazias (1997) and Upon A Bank With Roses (2003).
