Biography

Roland Neuwirth & die Extremschrammeln, an Austrian quintet of Neue Volksmusik, was founded in 1974 by Roland Neuwirth. The group initially formed as a traditional Schrammel ensemble and later evolved to incorporate elements from blues, jazz, rock, and contemporary music. Over the years, they produced several notable albums including WaÃ da Teufel (1989), Moment, Dar Christbaum Brennt! (1995) and No.9 Die Pathologische (1998). In 2016, Roland Neuwirth & die Extremschrammeln embarked on their farewell tour.
