Roberto Dalla Vecchia was born on January 5,â¯1968, in Vicenza, Italy, and is an Italian guitarist, composer, and singer. After classical studies, he developed a passion for acoustic guitar and studied with renowned guitarist Beppe Gambetta. He began performing with country-bluegrass bands before launching his solo career in 1998. His debut album, Open Spaces (1998), was followed by Sit Back (2002), which won the Homegrown CD Award from Acoustic Guitar magazine. His other albums include Grateful (2006), Unknown Legends (2008), Hand in Hand (2011), and Morning Lights (2012), recorded with Luca Francioso. He has performed internationally and collaborated with artists including Tommy Emmanuel, Frank Vignola, Beppe Gambetta, Jim Hurst, and Clive Carroll. He is also active as a teacher and organizer of acoustic-guitar events, including the annual vicenzAcustica concert in Vicenza.
