Rodney Jerome Brown Jr., born September 24, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, is an American rapper who emerged from the West Coast hipâhop scene. After honing his craft in local clubs, Brown released his debut mixtape O.M.M.I.O. in 2013, with the single "Ride Wit Me" gaining regional airplay. The project, hosted by DJ Mustard, introduced Brown to a broader audience and led to collaborations with YG and DJ Mustard on tracks such as "Thank God (Interlude)" from YGâs My Krazy Life (2014). In 2015, Brownâs Rich Off Mackin and the sequel O.M.M.I.O. 2 expanded his discography, the latter featuring the single "Get Rich" with Choice and Iamsu!. Subsequent releases included O.M.M.I.O. 3 (2016), MrLA (2017), and On God (2019), the latter showcasing guest appearances from Schoolboy Q, Young Thug, GâEazy, and Snoop Dogg. Brown continued to release Rich Off Mackin 2 (2020), Let Me Talk My Shit (2020), and Rodney Brown Jr. (2022), the latter featuring Roddy Ricch and Ty Dolla Sign. In 2023, he dropped OMMIO Grillz, maintaining a steady presence on streaming platforms. Throughout his career, Brown remained affiliated with 4Hunnid Records, 10 Summers Records, and OMMIO Empire, consistently contributing to the gangsta rap genre.
