Biography

Rick Guard, born in 2002 in the Chorley, Lancashire, is a British singer. His music career began with the release of his debut album Hands of a Giant on October 21, 2002. The first single from this album achieved Top 20 positions in eleven countries and was among the Number 10 downloaded ringtones that year. Rick Guard's early success included writing credits for notable artists such as Russell Watson, Ashley MacIssac, and Jon Christos. He also contributed to the soundtrack of the movie The Truth About Love, starring Dougray Scott, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jimi Mistry, and wrote theme music for various TV shows in England, Australia, and Poland. Rick Guard's performances included high-profile events such as appearances before Elizabeth II and The Princess Royal, as well as festivals like V2 summer festival and Children In Need with the BBC Orchestra. His single "Stop it I Like It" received heavy airplay, reaching the Top 75 of highest radio played records worldwide by the end of 2003. Rick Guard received extensive airplay in Europe and won the prestigious Belgian Zommerhit award. He also performed live events and TV appearances across multiple countries including South Africa, France, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Egypt, Spain, Holland, and Ireland. His second album Anyone But Me was released on September 7, 2009.
