Richard Clifford Blackwood, born on May 15, 1972 in England, is a British actor, presenter, and rapper. Initially gaining recognition as a rapper, Richard Blackwood released his debut single "Mama Who Da Man" in 2000, which peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart. This song was based on "Mama Used to Say" by his uncle Junior Giscombe. Following this success, he released two more singles: "1.2.3.4 Get with the Wicked" and "Someone There for Me" which went to number 10 and 23, respectively. His debut album You'll Love To Hate This was released later that year. Blackwood's music career also includes presenting roles on television shows such as Singled Out, Top of the Pops, and MTV Select. In addition to his musical endeavors, Blackwood has had a notable acting career, appearing in various television series and films. He played Vincent Hubbard in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2015 to 2018 and Felix Westwood in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks since 2020. For his role as Felix, he has been nominated for a TRIC Award and a National Television Award.
