Biography

Rapper, singer, and songwriter Rich Amiri was born Amiri Dexter Chase on 6 February 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Randolph, Massachusetts. He rose to recognition first on SoundCloud and TikTok, bringing his own personality to the pluggnb artist sound across a cache of singles in 2019, including "Duwap" and "For Me," of which the latter was recorded and released when he was just 15. In December 2021, he dropped the track "Walk In" before he upped his game with the two EPs Chase and For the Better, which paved the way for a label deal with Internet Money and 10K Projects. A slew of collaborations emerged in 2022, including the track "Jumpin" with layze and the popular "Poppin" with Lil Tecca, which became the lead single of his full-length debut proper, Evolution. He made his commercial breakthrough in 2024 with "One Call," which debuted at number 79 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and was featured on his Ghetto Fabulous album. The LP also spawned viral cuts in "Ain't Nothing" and "Codeine Crazy." He kept up the momentum in 2024 with fourth album War Ready, which featured the collaborative single with Internet Money, "Keep It Cool," among other tracks.
