Biography

Rhonda Suzanne Burchmore, born on May 15, 1960 in Sydney, Australia, is a singer known for her work in musical theatre. She began her career with a scholarship to the University of New England, majoring in Theatre Arts. Her first Australian theatre performance was in the 1988 production of Sugar Babies. Burchmore's debut album, Rhonda Burchmore, was released in 1998. Subsequent albums include Live at the Melbourne Concert Hall (2003), Pure Imagination (2008) and a recording of her stage show, Cry Me a River – The World of Julie London (2013). She has performed in numerous musicals including Mame (1999), Guys and Dolls (1999), and Mamma Mia! (2001). Burchmore's television credits include appearances on Carols by Candlelight and Hey Hey It's Saturday. In 2014, she was awarded a medal of the Order of Australia for her service to the performing arts.
