Oronzo Rubino, known professionally as Renzo Rubino, was born on March 17, 1988, in Martina Franca, Tarento, Apulia, Italy. He is an Italian singer who gained early recognition by winning the "Musicultura" festival in 2011 with his single "Bignè", which was voted the most popular song by Rai Radio 1 listeners. Rubino's breakthrough came in 2013 when he participated in the Festival di San Remo with "Il postino (amami uomo)". The song finished third in the final of the Young category but won the Mia Martini Critics Award and topped the televote. His album, Poppins, was released in 2013 by Warner Music, featuring his San Remo entry. In 2014, Rubino returned to San Remo, competing among the Champions, performing the songs"Ora" and "Per sempre e poi basta". "Ora" reached the final and placed third, while "Per sempre e poi basta" won the award for Best Musical Arrangement.
