Born in Virajpet, Karnataka, India on April 5, 1996, Rashmika Mandanna is an award-winning actress, model, and singer. Working predominantly in Telugu and Kannada language films and commercials, her career as an actress led to a burgeoning career in the Indian music industry. Although she attended the M. S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce and worked her way towards a bachelor's degree in Psychology, English Literature, and Journalism, she turned to a career in acting. She debuted in the Kannada-language film Kirik Party (2016), which became one of the highest grossing films of the year. Earning awards and praise, she worked on several other Kannada films before making her Telugu-language debut in the 2018 film Chalo. She continued to make Kannada and Telugu films, making her Tamil debut in 2021’s Sulthan. Rashmika Mandanna made her recorded debut with “Top Tucker” in 2021. At the end of that year, she topped Forbes India’s list of most influential actors on social media. In January, Rashmika Mandanna released the song “Eyy Bidda Ye Mera Adda”, which was taken from the film Pushpa. The song earned more than 45 million streams on social media in less than two months.
