Biography

Sensations' Fix, an Italian rock band formed in 1974, was led by Franco Falsini. Before forming the group, Falsini moved to Virginia in 1969 and set up a studio where he experimented with electronic music using a Moog synthesizer and a four-track recorder. Upon returning to Italy, Sensations' Fix signed a five-year contract with Polydor Records in 1974, releasing their debut album Fragments of Light the same year. The band's discography includes notable albums such as Portable Madness, Naso Freddo, and Finest Finger. In 2011, Naso Freddo was reissued by Spectrum Spools, and in 2012, RVNG Records released a compilation titled Music Is Painting in the Air (1974-1977), which included alternative mixes and unreleased tracks. The band's influence extended to other artists; DJ Shadow sampled Sensations' Fix on his album The Private Press in 2002, and Sonic Youth named an art exhibition after them in 2008.
