Quincy Conserve, a rock band from Wellington, New Zealand, formed in late 1967 by Malcolm Hayman. The group initially gained traction backing Allison Durbin on some of her recordings in 1968. In 1970, Kevin Furey joined the band, and their composition "Ride the Rain" reached the finals at that year's Loxene Golden Disc Awards. Throughout the early 1970s, Quincy Conserve released several albums, including Listen to the Band (1970), Epitaph - Quincy Conserve 1967-71 (1972), and Tasteful (1973). They also backed notable artists like The Brothers Johnson at the Downtown Club in Wellington. In 1974, they released the single "Song For The Man," which was nominated for an APRA Silver Scroll in 1975. Quincy Conserve disbanded later that year.
