Biography
Born Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma in Benin City, Nigeria, on July 1, 2006, R&B and Afrobeats singer Qing Madi began singing and dancing with her mother, who made it her profession. Discovered at a young talent contest, she took part in the local church choir and danced in a ballet company, before recording several tracks that remained confidential in her youth. In 2022, her career took a turning point with the release of her first single "See Finish" on Jton Music, and her fame grew in Nigeria, in a style mixing Afrobeats, R&B, soul and pop. In 2023, Qing Madi achieves international recognition through her collaboration with BNXN on the track "Ole", which reaches number 16 in the official afrobeats chart in 2023, before the release of the seven-track Qing Madi EP in November. A popular artist on social networks and in the charts with the single "Vision" and its remix, Qing Madi releases her debut album I Am the Blueprint in 2025, including the hit "Feeling Alright", ranked #15 in the US Afrobeats charts.
