Mario Jose Brito, known professionally as QBoy, and born on October 10, 1978 in the United Kingdom, is a rapper. He initially gained recognition as part of the group Q-Form with DJ Mistermaker and rapper Ill Form. QBoy's solo career began in 2004 with the release of his first extended play, Even the Women Like Him. His breakthrough track "Quarter Life Crisis" sampled Neneh Cherry's hit "Buffalo Stance" and featured singer and producer Wayne Latham. In July 2009, he released his debut album Moxie, which included the lead single "Coming Out 2 Play" that reached number 6 on the US Logo Click Chart. QBoy has also been a prominent DJ and promoter of popular LGBTQ club nights, notably R & She: The Queens of Hip-Hop & R&B, which hosted events in London, Berlin, and New York City.
