Pylon Reenactment Society, an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, was formed in 2014 with Vanessa Briscoe Hay as the lead vocalist. The group initially featured members of other Athens bands like The Glands and Casper & the Cookies, performing music by Pylon and later creating original material. In October 2017, they released their first album, Part Time Punks Session, recorded for a radio show in Los Angeles. Briscoe Hay was notably recognized as one of the 25 Best Frontwomen of All Time by Paste Magazine in March 2018. The band notably performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain, in May 2019 and released the album, Magnet Factory, on February 9, 2024, which received critical acclaim, including an 8/10 rating from Uncut Magazine and positive reviews from the Associated Press. Notable singles include "Messenger" (2018), "Compression" (2020), and "3 x 3" (2023).
