Biography
A native of Yaoundé, Cameroon, Prosby's personal story remains a bit of a mystery. He was discovered by the Cameroonian public in 2006 on a reality TV show, Star2Demain, of which he was the winner, and the sudden notoriety he acquired propelled him forward. He came to musical prominence much later with a track, "Mboa Girl", released in 2012, which reached a wide audience in Cameroon. His style develops, between Afro-pop, soul and R'n'B, and Prosby enters the radar of the Cameroonian music scene. He quickly established himself on the scene, with a string of collaborations, notably with Numerica, and put his stamp on it by sparingly revealing his tracks ("Shiba" or "Ayowo"). With "Lol" and then "Dis-moi", released in 2018 and 2021 respectively, the artist announced what would become his first EP Iceberg, released in 2022. Now backed by record label AD Prod, this first release allows Prosby to assert himself more concretely in the music world with a project that brings together his many aesthetic influences.
