Biography
Lou Nanli (performing as B6; born 1981) is a Chinese techno, electro house, and film score composer, DJ, and designer from Shanghai. Lou founded the experimental label Isolation Music in 1999 and the creative company Neocha in 2006. Early recordings included the EPs Electronic for Trips (2004) and Little 9 (2004), followed by the 6-CD collection B6 Box (2005). In 2006, Lou formed the synth-pop duo IGO with singer J Jay, releasing the album Synth Love in 2007. Lou released the solo techno album Post Haze (2008) through Modern Sky, which received a European reissue via Sub-Stream in 2009. Lou performed at international venues including Tresor and Cité de la Musique. Later career work focused on scoring for the stage play Blooms (2018) and the film The Wild Goose Lake (2019), which received a Palme d'Or nomination. Subsequent credits include the documentary series Life Matters and the television drama Hunting (2024).
