Smack, born Jakub JaneÄek on 7 June 1986 in Prague, was a prominent figure in the Czech rap sceneâa three-time recipient of the Andel Award in the rap categoryâwho announced his retirement in 2024. He first gained attention in the early 2000s as part of the Czech hip-hop collective PSH (PeneÅi strýÄka Homeboye), which helped shape the contemporary Czech rap landscape. Thanks to a successful solo career that spanned over two decadesâfrom 2012 debut 2051 to 2020's Chimera pt. 1: Lion and final 2023 album END 2 ENDâhe became a staple of the Czech hip-hop community, renowned for his unique style that blends hard-hitting beats with thought-provoking commentary on topics ranging from urban life and politics to personal struggles. However, despite retiring from the Czech rap scene, in November 2024 he jumped on a new collaborative album with UK rap star P Money, titled Champions League. "Ice," a track featured on the LP, crashed into the Top 25 Czech songs chart in 2025.
