Fanny Diercksen, known professionally as Phanee de Pool, was born on January 2, 1989, in Bienne, Switzerland. She is a singer-songwriter who writes and performs in French. In September 2016, after six years away from music, Fanny Diercksen resumed her musical activities by composing "Luis Mariano" and publishing it online, marking the beginning of Phanee de Pool's career. She adopted this stage name and started working on her debut album Hologramme in her kitchen using a looper, machines, guitar, and voice. The album was released in 2017, and debuted at number 13 on the Swiss Romande album sales chart. Phanee de Pool's unique style, which she coined "slap," blends elements of slam and rap. Her first album earned her the Prix des scènes and Prix du public at the Médaille d'or de la chanson 2017.
