Peter Blumsom, known as Peteâ¯Dello, was born on 26â¯Mayâ¯1942 in Oxford, United Kingdom, and worked as a singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and guitarist. He started in skiffle, coâfounded Grant Tracy and the Sunsets, and joined The Yumâ¯Yum Band in the midâ1960s. His breakthrough came with the 1968 single "I Can't Let Maggie Go" from Honeybus, which charted in the UK and later appeared in a television advert. In 1971 he released the album Into Your Ears, credited to Pete Dello and Friends. The album was reâissued several times on CD and LP. Pete Delloâs songs were covered by Daveâ¯Berry, Joeâ¯Cocker and Paulâ¯Carrack. He left the industry in the 1970s; Into Your Ears later sold for over £1,200 in pristine condition. Peteâ¯Dello died on 21â¯Februaryâ¯2026.
