Pedro Vian, born Pedro Rufi Alsina in 1986 in Barcelona, Spain, is a Catalan musician and electronic music producer. He founded Modern Obscure Music, releasing works by artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto and Laurie Spiegel. Vian's debut album, Beautiful Things You Left Us for Memories, was released in 2016 and received critical acclaim, being named the best album of the year by DJMag. His subsequent releases include the LPs Pedro Vian (2019) and Ibillorca (2020).Vian has collaborated with notable artists such as Pierre Bastien, Merzbow, and Carla Perez Vas. He has performed at festivals including Sónar and Primavera Sound, and as a DJ in clubs worldwide, particularly in Japan, the U.S., and Europe. His interdisciplinary project PRSNT, which explores the relationship between music and attention span in the digital era, won gold at the Laus Awards.
