Biography

Pay money To my Pain was a Japanese rock group formed on 11 September 2004 in Tokyo, led by vocalist Kei Goto. The band emerged after Goto’s previous project Gun Dog disbanded, recruiting experienced musicians and adopting an English‑language songwriting approach. Their debut EP, Drop of INK ( 2006), produced by Sylvia Massy, introduced the band’s eclectic mix of alternative rock, metalcore, and pop‑punk influences. In 2007 they released their first full‑length album, Another day comes (2007); the track "Home" became the ending theme for the anime Buzzer Beater, and "Another day comes" was used in Ultraseven X. The follow‑up album After you wake up (2009) featured the single "Bury", which served as the opening for the anime One Outs, and its track 'The Answer is Not in the TV" appeared in the soundtrack of Pro Evolution Soccer 2010. Subsequent releases included Remember the Name (2011) and Gene ( 2013), the latter compiled tracks recorded before Goto’s death. After Goto’s passing on 30 , December , 2012, the band honored him with a tribute concert a year later. The group’s work earned recognition in anime and gaming circles, cementing their influence within Japan’s rock scene.
