Ossifar was a Spanish pop and rock group from Mallorca, formed in 1989. The ensemble was recognized for its festive music and ironic lyrics, which often utilized a satirical blend of Mallorquin and Spanish languages. The project began when Toni Isern organized musical gatherings at his home with friends, including Lázaro Méndez and Biel Mesquida Joan. The bandâs name was inspired by a local cesspool cleaning company called Osifar. After their initial homemade cassette gained unexpected popularity across the island, the group signed with Blau Records. They released their debut album, Cansiones de Amor Amb Los Calsones Baixos, in 1990. Their discography expanded with En Gori Cuper Té Morenes (1991), Indiana Pons en Busca de la Porsella Rustida (1993), Da-Li Cebes! (1994), and the live recording En Directe (1995). The band became inactive in 1998 following the release of their final studio album, A Pixar i a Jeure (1997), and the compilation Lo Millor - Debestof (1998). Mesquida Joan died in a motorcycle accident in 2003.
